FAQ's

  • Is this an organic skincare line?
The Food and Drug Administration requires certification of all products that market as, or use, the word ‘Organic’ in the product title. Currently, organic certification for skincare is evaluated under the guidelines for food products and the use of typical cosmetic grade preservatives is prohibited. Our products have a minimum shelf life of one year and use a preservative system; therefore our products do not qualify for FDA certification and we are unable to sell them as ‘organic’. Many of our ingredients are certified organic or are grown under organic conditions without the use of preservatives and growth enhancers. Our products do not contain animal derived ingredients and are vegan friendly.
  • I recently started using Kokanni Cosmetics, why am I breaking out?
Skin purging is a process in which your skin begins to adjust to a new regimen. It is the process of skin turnover, basically all of the impurities that are in the deeper layers of the skin now come to the surface to ultimately get rid of them. Skin purging can typically last 6 weeks. The main difference between “skin purging” and a “breakout” is that skin purging does not typically last as long as a traditional breakout. If you notice skin purging that means the product is working, so keep using it. If your skin becomes inflamed, or if you notice worsening of your skin for longer than 6 weeks, please seek medical attention.
  • When can I start to see results?
Everyone is different. The average skin cycle is 28 days, as we get older our skin cycle slows down and therefore results may take longer to be apparent. Typically, you should start seeing results in 1-2 months.
  • Do your products contain sunscreen?
No, and we advise you to get a suitable sunscreen for your skin type to add to your skin care regimen. Sunscreen is extremely important to your skincare regimen, no matter your skin type, or color.
  • Does Kokanni Cosmetics test on animals?
Absolutely not, our products are cruelty-free. We never test our products on animals
  • Do you ship internationally?
Not at this time, but we plan to change that in the near future.
  • Can men use Kokanni Cosmetics?
The short answer is yes! However, men have oilier and thicker skin. It is important for men to tailor their skincare routine to suit their unique needs.
