Karen “Koko” Iyere, founder and owner of Kokanni Cosmetics, has an extensive background in nursing and health care, as well as a passion for skin care that was inherited from the beautiful women in her family. She believes that skin care is empowering, and that it can help people of color feel confident and in control of their natural appearance. ​
Iyere was taught the importance of skin care from a young age, and she has noticed that Black women are often more concerned with aesthetics rather than health. She wants to use her expertise to provide a solution for these women to help them feel more comfortable in social situations. Her aim is to promote healthy natural skin as beautiful skin.
